Condolences

Condolence From: Lucy Eastland
Condolence: My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Mary's family. I was Dr. Bing's secretary at the College and had the privilege of getting to know Mary. She was one of the few instructors who treated the secretaries as equals and not someone beneath them. She was also one of the bridge group who "tried" to teach me to play, but failed miserably.....not her/their fault....I was just not teachable!!!! Mary was a wonderful lady and person and will be missed by many.

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences for the loss of this lovely lady. She was a dear friend of my parents, and my brother and I have known her all our lives. Peace be with you.

Condolence: I am sending my prayers to Mrs. Doughtie's family. She was beloved to me as an English Literature teacher and as a friend. Her classes were so much fun. I remember how we had to do reports on the Canterbury Tales and how we explicated poetry. One of my best memories, 40 years later, is my explication of Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night that was perfect until I said "He was telling his dad not to kick the bucket quietly". She was dismayed in an amused sort of way. She was a woman of great compassion for others as well as a woman of faith. It gives me solace to believe that she and her husband and son are reunited in God's loving presence and that we will see her again. Well Done Thou Good and Faithful Servant; you provided an example for those of us who were blessed enough to have known you.

May God's grace and peace and the Love of Christ shine upon all of you and comfort you.

Sincerely,
