Obituary for Joyce Marie Leita
Joyce Marie Leita passed away suddenly from a short battle with cancer on May 8, 2018 at the age of 69. She was born in Victoria, Texas to the late Anton “Tony” Leita and Gladys Stary Leita.
She is survived by her sister, Geraldine “Dina” Leita; brother, Caesar Leita; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and colleagues.
She was a graduate of University of Houston where she became a school teacher. She continued her education and was a graduate of University of Texas Law School. She was currently a practicing Attorney at Law in Victoria, Texas. She was an intelligent woman who was kind hearted and genuinely nice to everyone. In addition to her big love for books, she was an avid reader of any and all literature. She never stopped growing in her desire for greater knowledge.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Joe Leita.
Pallbearers will be Roland “Swede” Carlson, Elliott Costas, Bill White, Justin Leita, Chad Sills, Zach Kruppa, Dustin Brandl, Dylan Kruppa, Pacer Bayer and Robert Hagel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary at Grace Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 11, 2018 10:00 am at St. Mary’s. Burial to follow at Resurrection.
Memorials may be made to donors choice.
