BARBARA ANN ALLERTON

VICTORIA - Barbara Ann Allerton, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. She was born August, 17, 1945 in Shiner, Texas to the late Reinhold and Olga (Stratmann) Anderle.

Barbara was a graduate of Victoria High School in 1963. She began working at Melvin’s Tots to Teens and then went on to be employed by Gibson’s Products Co. from 1963-1970. Barbara met William Allerton Jr. under the shooting arrow of the Indian at The Coral Restaurant and fell in love and were married October 3, 1970. Soon the couple moved to Coupville and Oak Harbor, WA. They returned to Victoria where they started a family with two sons and was a homemaker. Some years later she began a career as a daycare worker and was employed with Kidds World, Rainbow Wonderland and Tender Loving Care, where she retired from in 2010.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. While work was important to her, she found great joy in the fellowship of family and friends. She was strong willed and soft hearted, beautiful inside and out, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her quick wit and sense of humor made her endearing to family and friends, old and new. A Loving wife, mother and friend, she always had a smile on her face. She loved to garden, travel, go camping with her husband and spend time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her husband William Allerton Jr.; Sons, William Allerton III (Jo Lynn) of Austin, Bradley Allerton of Victoria.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Manuel Anderle, Daniel Anderle, Nelson Anderle Sr.; great nephew, Charlin Clary.

Pallbearers will be Vance Anderle, Jesseca Buchhorn, Dale Anderle, Blaze Anderle, Chance Anderle and Jason Pohler.

Honorary pallbearers are Nelson Anderle Jr, Wayne Buchhorn, Gabby Gonzalez, Robin Clary and Chuck Clary

Visitation will be held at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy., Victoria, on November 5, 2017 at 5-7pm. Rosary to follow.

A celebration of life for Barbara will be on held at 11am on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, 1309 E. Mesquite lane, Victoria given by Father Gary Janak.
