Victoria—Chaliph Lee Williams, Jr., 68, went to be with his heavenly Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017. He was born on August 17, 1948 in Cuero to Chaliph and Thelma Jean Williams.
Chaliph was truck driver who always had a smile on his face and really cared about people and his family. He loved his cars, work and dancing.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Faye Williams and Pam Williams; son, Willie C. Williams; sister, Marilyn Williams: brothers, Joe A. Williams, Larry John Williams, David Williams, Donnie Williams, Melvin Williams and Preston Williams; Nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Vernell Williams and sister, Alice Williams.
A visitation with the family will be on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 1100 am at Mt. Bethany Baptist Church in Cuero. Interment will follow at Thomaston Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ronald Williams, Laken Williams, Leon Dean, Abraham Cherry, Damein Williams, Derrick Franklin, Darold Jackson, Lee Perez and Otis Jackson.
