Palacios: Bryan Lee Fields 63, of Palacios, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born on August 6, 1953 in Palacios, Texas to Paul and Edna Rae Fields.

Bryan was a shrimper for 30 years and an avid hunter. Bryan served as commissioner for the Matagorda County Navigation District for the past 6 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Edward Fields.

Bryan is survived by his brother Ron Fields (Paulette); nieces Rhonda Garcia (Greg), Allison Fields, of Palacios and Paula Fields, of Harlingen; nephew Russell Fields (Melanie), of Plano; two grandnieces Hilary Garcia, of Victoria and Vesper Garza, of Harlingen; five grandnephews Christian Garcia, of Fort Benning, GA., Ethan Garcia and Elisha Garcia, of Palacios, Ezvyn Zuniga and Zayden Garza, of Harlingen, Reece Fields and Grayson Fields, of Plano, TX.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Monica Dunn.

A visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Palacios, with a memorial service to Celebrate Bryans’ life at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Jack Hutson officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Derril Franzen, Lee Edward Pierce, Victor Eggemeyer, Greg Seaman, Mark Bates and Vernon Bates, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the First Baptist Church of Palacios, 202 Main St., Palacios, Texas 77465.
