1929 ~ 2016

Natividad (Nato, Nat, Shorty) M. Guerrero 86, of Goliad TX was received into God’s Loving Arms and Kingdom on Saturday the 20th of August 2016 from his home where his loving family was by his side until the New Everlasting Beginning. Nato was born on December 25th 1929 in Choate TX to Alejandra and Aureliano Guerrero. On July 15th, 1950 he married Josefa Barrientes and were married sixty six years. They were blessed with four wonderful children, three daughters and a son. He was a farmer, and carpenter, and ended his career as a utility worker for the City of Goliad.

He is survived by his spouse Josefa B. Guerrero, daughters Sandra (Robert) Edison, Mary (The late James ‘Bubba’) Thigpen, Delia (Larry) Semander, all of Goliad, son Ernesto B. Guerrero of Oklahoma, brother Pedro Guerrero of Goliad, eleven grandchildren, and twelve great-grand children.

He was predeceased by his parents; stepfather, Modesto Nanez; brothers and sisters, Lasaro Nanez, Margarita Lopez, Manuela Rangel, Dominga Padron, Bernardino Guerrero, Jacinto Guerrero, Pantaleon Guerrero, Martin Guerrero, Timoteo Guerrero, Lupita Rodriguez, Dionicia Martinez, Antonia Balarin, Teodora Ramirez, and Gregoria Ramirez.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, August 22 starting at 10:00 am at Grace Funeral Home with family visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 23 at 10:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow at Flores Cemetery.

Pallbearer will be his grandsons; Robbie Edison, Jerry Raul Castro, Estevan Guerrero, Austen
Guerrero, Anthony Maldonado, & Cruz Castro

Memorials can be made to Hospice of South Texas in his name. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.gracefuneralhome.net. Services entrusted to Grace Funeral Home – Goliad.
